Rolls with avocado and capelin roe
  • 1 glass round grain rice
  • 1 avocado
  • 5 sheets nori
  • 50 g pickled ginger
  • 100 g capelin caviar "Vodniy mir"
  • to taste salt


  1. Put 1 glass of rice in a small pan with 300ml of water.
  2. Bring to the boil and cook for 10 minutes until the water is absorbed and the rice is tender.
  3. Season with salt, cover and cool.
  4. Divide rice between the nori sheets and spread it out evenly, leaving a 1cm border at the top and bottom.
  5. Peel and slice the avocado.
  6. Then lay it over the rice.
  7. Spread capelin roe over the rice and avocado slices.
  8. Fold the bottom edge of the seaweed over the filling, and then roll it up firmly.
  9. Dampen the top border with a little water to help it seal the roll.
  10. Put in the fridge for 1.5-2 hours.
  11. Using a serrated knife, cut each roll into 8 rounds.
  12. Wrap in avocado, if desired.
  13. Serve with soy sauce and pickled ginger.
